Collingwood Environmental Planning Ltd

CEP is an independent multidisciplinary environmental and sustainability consultancy, established in 1995, which has its head office in London with offices in Glasgow and Bristol and works both within the UK and internationally (see www.cep.co.uk). It provides a broad spectrum of practical and advisory services, with a research and capacity building focus to much of our work. CEP undertakes commissions principally for the public sector, including European and international institutions; national governments and their agencies; regional and local government; charities and NGOs; and research institutes and universities. Key CEP staff include environmental scientists, environmental economists, ecologists and social scientists. In addition to our core team, we have a well-developed network of formal Associate Consultants with whom we regularly work and strong links with academia including the University of Strathclyde. CEP’s specialisms include: environmental, social and sustainability assessment, evaluation and strategy development; participatory approaches to stakeholder involvement; social vulnerability and resilience; natural environment and biodiversity policy and research; spatial and land use planning; climate change adaptation; management of the water environment, including flood risk; and ecosystem services. We also specialise in social research and community engagement within the field of sustainability. CEP has considerable experience of promoting sustainable development through adopting an integrated and participatory approach to land use and spatial planning.
