Guide to Social Return on Investment (2009)

Last Updated: Wednesday 9 August 2017

Published in May 2009 and updated in 2012, this free downloadable guide explains what Social Return on Investment (SROI) is, and what the process involves.

The guide has been written for organisations that want to measure and analyse the social, environmental and economic value being generated by their activities. It explains what SROI is; including what purpose it can serve, what type of organisation can use it, and what skills are required to do an SROI analysis. It breaks the SROI process down in six stages, using a worked example to clarify each stage. The guide is designed for you to put what you’ve learned into practice.
