Why Evaluate?
Funders want organisations to evaluate what you are doing. But self-evaluation is about more than just providing funders with reports. By learning how to evaluate your own activity, organisations can discover what works and what doesn’t work and how to measure the difference you are making. This learning helps with project and business planning and leads to the delivery of better services. Knowing what difference you are making and being able to report on that means that your organisation can be more accountable to your stakeholders and to the people who use your services.
ESS provides training workshops, one-to-one support and ongoing guidance to help organisations measure the difference they are making, take steps to make a bigger difference and to report on that difference.
